Mise en chantier en 1922. Lancement Novembre 1922 Entr\u00e9e en service en 1923.<\/p>\n<p>Jauge brute 3509 tonneaux. D\u00e9placement 4592 tonnes . Longueur Hors tout : 109 m 40 largeur 13 m 60 tirant d\u2019eau 5 m 46. Equipage : 58 hommes. Passagers : 292 (82 en 1\u00e9re Classe 110 en 2\u00e9me et 100 en 3\u00e9me). Cales : avant 2, arri\u00e8re 1 . Vitesse aux essais 18 n\u0153uds. Vitesse de croisi\u00e8re 16 n\u0153uds .<\/p>\n<p>HISTORIQUES.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s sa construction en 1922, le paquebot mixte Gouverneur G\u00e9n\u00e9ral LEPINE assura les liaisons maritimes entre la M\u00e9tropole et l\u2019Afrique du Nord pour transporter voyageurs et marchandises . Le 6 Novembre 1942 quelques heures apr\u00e8s avoir quitt\u00e9 Marseille pour Tunis, un message radio, transmis sur l\u2019intervention du gouvernement de VICHY, intima l\u2019ordre au Commandant de revenir \u00e0 Marseille ; celui-ci n\u2019obtemp\u00e9ra pas et poursuivit sa route sur Bougie o\u00f9 s\u2019\u00e9taient r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s quelques autres navires de commerce fran\u00e7ais. Dans ce port, en d\u00e9pit d\u2019une violente attaque de l\u2019aviation allemande qui d\u00e9truisit : \u00ab L\u2019ALSINA \u00bb, \u00bbLE FLORIDA \u00bbet \u00ab LE KOUTOUBIA \u00bb, le Gr Gl LEPINE fut \u00e9pargn\u00e9 miraculeusement ; Quatre jours apr\u00e8s, dans le port d\u2019ALGER, il essuya de nouveau, un bombardement allemand dont il sortit encore indemne. C\u2019est alors, sous pavillon anglais, qu\u2019il accomplit des missions secr\u00e8tes dont le transfert, entre MALAGA et CASABLANCA, des volontaires fran\u00e7ais qui avaient transit\u00e9 par l\u2019Espagne pour rejoindre le G\u00e9n\u00e9ral DE GAULLE \u00e0 LONDRES, ensuite il fut affr\u00e9t\u00e9 par l\u2019arm\u00e9e am\u00e9ricaine pour le transport de troupes entre l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie et l\u2019Italie et la Corse. Ces faits d\u2019arme lui ont valu la croix de guerre. Entre 1945 et 1950, il reprit son activit\u00e9 commerciale. Puis le 28 Novembre 1950, il arriva dans le port de SETE o\u00f9 il prit le nom de \u00ab Paul BOUSQUET \u00bb pour \u00eatre transform\u00e9 en bateau \u00e9cole d\u2019apprentissage maritime.Comme
